Audio Transmission - Test Two
Aug. 12th, 2009 10:16 pm[Shockwave's communicator cuts in abruptly with the sound of scraping. Interspersed is the crack of wood breaking.]
I find that it helps to analyze a situation, rather than panicking and flailing about like headless robo-chickens.
These are the facts - the captain apparently takes captives. He released one, and took three more. Rather than performing this action quietly, he announced it for all to hear, and all three have subsequently sent their own messages as they were captured. This suggests that he wanted us to hear and wanted everyone afraid.
However, we must also take into account that we have two sources of information that contradict each other - the crew, and miss Shayn. Without any other points of reference, both sources must be 'taken with a grain of salt' as the Earth saying goes.
The course of action seems clear, though I hate to have to reiterate some of the other passengers' points. Remain calm, and only travel in armed groups. Sending terrified messages with no point of reference serves little purpose but to make those you care about afraid or angry. If anyone is attacked, send your location and as detailed a description of your attacker as possible.
Above all, display caution.
[EDIT following this]
I have, perhaps, jumped the gun in linking Captain Redd with the kidnappings directly. There is a chance that these events are not linked with one another. Regardless, my advice to the other passengers remains the same. Particularly if the announcement has nothing to do with the taking, as it is possible that whoever is doing so will not stop at three.

Date: 2009-08-13 04:16 am (UTC)The data might simply point to a correlation; he made his statement and something or someone else kidnapped the trio of 'guests' that seem to have so many bothered. Regardless, people have still being taken. If it is Redd, then there is a chance that the rest of us can breathe easier for now. However, if it is not Redd, then there is a chance that more than those three will go missing, and the passengers should be prepared.

Date: 2009-08-13 04:23 am (UTC)[As far as Kusanagi is concerned, Shockwave's free to try to organize the passengers to his mechanical heart's content. She tried that once and came to the conclusion that the raw material simply wasn't there.
So now, she's just annoyed at people's sloppy reasoning, and to hell with anyone stupid enough to get caught.]

Date: 2009-08-13 04:34 am (UTC)Curious. I will keep that in mind and correct my statements accordingly.
[Shockwave is also not stupid enough to outright snub extra information when it was given.]

Date: 2009-08-13 04:20 am (UTC)It is unfortunate that I am not present, then, to see your display. You sound very cautious indeed.
ooc: more like sextensively amirite?
Date: 2009-08-13 04:24 am (UTC)[Did that lamp just- no, still a lamp.
Thank the saints, a false alarm.
[But Samuel's got his eye on you, lamp!]
ooc: oh yeah bb~
Date: 2009-08-13 04:28 am (UTC)Found any intruders yet?

Date: 2009-08-13 01:22 pm (UTC)Naturally. It wouldn't be right to offer advice and then not follow it myself.

Date: 2009-08-13 02:04 pm (UTC)Good. I'm certain you can handle yourself, but I would hate to see you get into trouble, Mikaela.

Date: 2009-08-13 02:08 pm (UTC)I definitely can. [Taking out mini!bots is one of her hobbies, man.] I don't really wanna get in trouble either.

Date: 2009-08-13 06:04 pm (UTC)...The bad part is that Shockwave would probably try to dissect her if they ever met; his 'cons never got around to creating technorganics like that.]
Very weird, and I have. Those are... I've seen many things in my travels. But nothing like those. They look as though they were conjured from nightmares.

Date: 2009-08-13 06:07 pm (UTC)Those are...the creepiest things I think I've ever seen in my life. I mean...I thought like...Decepticons were bad? Pfft.
